This Month’s Inquiry

namaste – "the light in me honors the light in you"

December 21st, the winter solstice, will mark the longest night of darkness. In this season of darkness, we can experience the light within ourselves and each other. We can experience the lightness of joy, peace and kindness.

This month’s inquiry is "what happens when you experience the lightness of joy, peace, and kindness?"

Art-Making Inquiry

This month’s inquiry with life and art-making is "what happens when you experience the lightness of joy, peace, and kindness?"

Joy – Take time to sit quietly and feel joy. Recall moments over the last few days that bring a smile and a glow. What does joy feel like in your body? What thoughts come up? What other feelings? What images, colors, textures? Write anything you like in your journal that will deepen your experience of joy and then create a collage expressing the joy.

Peace – Take time to sit quietly and feel peace. Recall moments over the
last few days that bring a sense of contentment. What does peace feel like inyour body? What thoughts come up? What other feelings? What images, colors, textures? Write anything you like in your journal that will deepen your experience of peace and then create a collage expressing the peace.

Kindness – Take time to sit quietly and feel kindness. Recall moments over the last few days that bring a sense of open giving and receiving. What does kindness feel like in your body? What thoughts come up? What other feelings? What images, colors, textures? Write anything you like in your journal that will deepen your experience of kindness and then create a collage expressing the kindness.

In Life, make note when you experience this lightness in yourself and others. Where are you? What are you doing? Who are you with?
